Brake light
My brake light came on today. The manual didnt tell me much. Anyone had any problems like this? I have notice the brakes seem to be acting a little funny but I just havent gotten around to getting it checked. I just had the brakes done less than a year ago and this problem feels like its on the interior of the car not the wheels. I did check the brake fluid and it was a little low but nothing that should cause a problem. Any ideas boys?
Come on boys I really need help here. When I went to the chevy garage to pick up some parts I asked the shop guys and they couldnt think of anything exept for me to bring it in and pay 150 dollars for them to take a look.
I'm looking... I think most just know the e-brake activates the light. We'd all like to give you more credit than that, so that probably is why no one has written.
Edit: Just found this...
There are several things that can cause your brake light to come on.
1. Your parking brake is not releasing all the way.
2. Low brake fluid in your master cylinder reservoir.
3. To much brake travel due to defective master cylinder or improper brake adjustment.
4. Leaking brake fluid from master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake hose.
5. Worn brake pad's or shoe's.[/align]

1. I never use my parking brake.
2. Brake Fluid is fine
3. I just had my brakes done in march but it could be that.
4.Padsare still good.
Thanks for the help. Guess I am just going to have to take it in and get it checked out.

Ok so I guess my master cylinder is leaking and I need a brake job on the front. I didnt realize they only did the back last time. So they are quoting me $700. So I think hey I could just do it myself and went and found my trusty repair manual only to find out with my traction control I cant do it without a scan tool. This is all crap!
