Ok so I was messing around in the camaro today and noticed my car came with the bose system. The po hacked the crap out of the stock wiring so I'm going to have to run new everything. My question is the little box on the "speaker box" in the doors the amps or something else?

 

Bose had indivdual amps attached to each speaker. The head unit just acted as a preamp, and wasn't powerful enough to drive speakers directly. The wire connecting the head unit to the speakers was a special type of shielded twisted pair.

 

thats what i thought i figured out the wiring to the amps i was messing with an old stock stereo and got them to work man they make a serious difference especially with new bose speakers
