Default Billet front grills(pictures wanted)

I am debating on purchasing one and was just wanting to see how they look. And also whether to get black or chrome. Any pictures would be appreciated, thanks!Name: 93_97camgrille__28462_zoom.jpg

Instead of getting just the grill, why not a new front bumper cover that has the grill area cut out and then get the grill? That would be both a performance and looks upgrade. This way, 1. the cars radiator can actually get air which as of right now, it really cant that well. and 2. it will look better because you wont see the original plastic behind the grill plate and youll see the a/c condensor and/or radiator like in most cars.

Its just a suggestion on personal opinion, but I figured that it has many advantages to spending a little more that I might point out for you.

Thats the exact one I have. Only thing I dont like is it looks crooked because it does not really curve like the opening, you can see it in that picture. The gap in the bottom middle and at the top ends. But it still looks good.

Our cars get air through the radiator from the air dam beneath it that "scoops" up the air and sends it through the radiator. Not that your idea won't help, as I'm sure it'd lower temps a few degrees, it's just not really enough to negate doing it.

Yea, that scoop doesnt seem to do as much as it is supposed to though. Even taking off the plastics in front of the a/c condenser helped a lot. So I could only imagine giving the camaro an actual grill. Im thinking about doing that once I get more money. Or just buying a grill and cutting the middle out. But I dont know how I feel about having a cut up ghetto rigged front bumper. I think Ill just save up and get the most stock looking one I can that has the open grill. Maybe one has the RS lip kit look to it in the front. That would be great. Then I would only need 3 more pieces for the kit. haha

It only does it's job when moving. Fans take care of it at idle and low speeds. But it'd be nice if we had a full open grill like the older cars.

agreed. and i just looked for a front bumper with an open grill... it didnt go so well. there are only lip kits for this besides 2 front bumpers that actually have open grills. and they are completely deformed looking.. i guess im going to have to cut up the bumper and put a grill in myself. i dont know why they havent taken out that piece and posted it as an aftermarket bumper for this gen. I would think that would be a hit.
