Default Bad Opti??

Can a bad opti cause a complete loss of power when I go to turn on the car? I mean no lights, radio, or anything.

You got to give us more info. Is this while it's starting you have no lights, etc...? Or after it's started you have no lights, etc... for a while?

try cleaning your battery connections. take the cables lose and wire brush the heck outa the battery terminals and cable ends. you could clean the wires in the power junction box (little plastic red box on the passenger fenderwell) while your at it.

No. A bad opti will cause engine runnability problems.

Didn't you ask in another post about your battery causing hesitation and said in there that your neg post is stripped? Well if that is the case then you need a new battery or battery bolt. I asked you in that thread about weather you lost all power or not.

I'm sorry Massy, I didn't see your post about that. But I drove the car to work and back. With no problems with hesitation or stalling at all. It was running great. When I went to go somewhere else later last night and I turned the key and nothing happened at all. I got it running after I messed with my battery connections. I was just making sure that a bad opti couldn't cause complete power loss is all.

I believe I found the problem. I think the computer just needed reset. After I reset the computer by unplugging the battery terminals, the car seems to run perfect. I also found the stalling problem, it was a bad connection on the battery terminals. Thanks for all of the help!
