another problem

Default another problem

ok my rearend is making sounds in my other car so i drive the other 97 i have its a z28 to but stock trans ok i drove it last night it was fine i get in it today and start it to let it cool down in there since its 95 degrres out anyway my girlfriend drives it about a mile down the road and it justs stops moving i go and pick her up and go back start it its fine again i drive it home then it stops moving again if i shut it off then start it it will move for a little but then stops again could it be the trans fillter the car only has 66000 miles i dont want to buy a trans for this car

I doubt the filter is causing your problem. How is the fluid level? Does it move if you go through the gears manually? Did the PO disconnect or bypass the trans cooler?

fluid level is good and no even shifting from 1st to 4th it dont move and if you put in nutrual and rev it up it makes a wierd noise and what is po

only time i ever had something like this happen is when the x overheated the truck trany and it spit out a bunch of fluid and would not go till it cooled down. once home i put a in line cooler on it. never happened again but i did replace the trany about 6 months latter cause the x didnt trust it. i would call a trany shop or three and see what they say. sure sounds like fluid is not getting to the pump though. might be worth it to take the pan off and have a look to see if the pickup has damage.

fixed the problem i had a bad fillter it just fell out of the trans
