Thank you all for the help. New battery and alternato is in and the car is running smooth. SES still comes on when driving and turns off at stop lights. The ABS light turns on after I drive a few feet and stays on.

I was wondering if the air pump and the ABS are rrelated because I was looking online at the Airpump connector and noticed it was called an "ABS Actuator." Hopefully I'll fix both of the problems with the air pump but I'm not to hopeful.

I was also wondering what is the average oil pressure for the car. At idle I am only at the 1/4 line and while driving it moves to 1/2 is that normal. Thanks for all the help guys, you've been super helpful.

thats normal for a high milage lt1. if the gage is right thats 20 lbs at idle and 40 at running speed. thats ok. if it gets lower than half way between the first and second mark u need to do something. what wt of oil are u using. 10-30 is recomended for the lt1.

I had 5w-20 valvoline high mileage but was reading on here that 10w-30 was the route to go so I switched to mobil 1 10w-30 today.Oh and the engine mileage is about 123,000.

Does the air pump effect the abs also??? I noticed the electrical connector was called an ABS actuator?

it didnt on with mine. my air pump was bad when i got the car. it was unpluged. the ses light didnt come on until i pluged it in. then it blew a fuse. took it out and it had a bunch of water in it. found a new one on eb for a good price. seems to be working fine. the abs is something i dont play with. in my book it says to use some dignostic machine that i dont have. so i would say take it to a dealer and see what they say it is. tell em u want to know what it is before any repairs are done. it may be something u can change.

thanks for the info....

My e brake light doesn't come on when it is engaged. Could that be related to the ABS light. Doesn't seem to be leaking any fluid. Damn Hayes manual doesn't help very much
