Get it scanned, but it will have to be done with a scanner that can read air bag codes. Don't mess with the air bag stuff, especially the yellow wires, unles you have a factory repair manual available. The bags can be easily set off, and can hurt both you and the car.

yea dont mess with airbags unless you know what you are doing with them. They can hurt you.

2 things I have experienced with airbags. one was a hyundai that I got as a job, hit in the front but no bags deployed. I was told to get the hood open so we could write an estimate on it. Well I had to use a hammer to force the hook open and I tripped a sensor that didnt completely trip in the accident.... BOOOM!!!! and the car was filled with talc powder. The airbags totaled the car, but there was no way to avoid deploying them.

The second is funny but painful at the same time. In autobody college my instructor wanted to see how much resistance was in his display airbag. it was a real bag and the charge was live still. He put the ohm meter on the plug and BOOOM!!! OUWWWW!!! Crash!!. The bag deployed hitting him in the nose with the metal back side, then shot up and hit the flourescent lights (about 10') and broke 2 of them. Scared the **** out of all 14 of us and the instructor, and sent him to the ER for a broken nose. yea they have some power to them.
