Advice on value

4 Attachment(s)
Hello all,

Although I am not new to Camaros, I am need some help on this one. I have a possible deal pending for a 2002 SS SLP. The car has 11,500 miles and is in pristine condition. I checked everything and is as perfect as it gets. Its in the SLP Registry and the package includes exhaust system, grill, chrome wheels. I have done some looking around regarding value but it seems there is a gap on price with these model. KBB calls for about 12k while I have seen similar cars to this one for up to 20k. Why the difference in market price and how much will this specific car go for? Here are some pictures and thanks in advance.

I would say 8000.00 to 12k is fair ,some think there car is worth more though its not yet ,? its a one owner looks nice the low miles is nice ,is that ebay ,an those selling a 15 year old car for the retail price are like the le1 cars ,above would be fair to me,again some think there car went up in value when its did not ,its because its a Camaro in there mind its the only one with those low miles .but there are alot them still out there with lower miles ? how much do you want to spend is what it comes down to I have seen 5th gens with 40k miles selling at 15.000 on an auction ss edition, the 4th gens are not worth what there retail price was in 2002 ,so one selling a 2002 with 10 miles on it better be an le1 car those are about the only ones holding there value for 2002 around 20.000 I have seen them ,but I still think one needs to shop for the better price couse there out there example is 3 z28 cars last fall on graigs list all had from 50k to 60k ,asking price was 5k average .so a great buy would be the 8k great ,not so bad would be 10k an high 12k .just my thought ,the best deals are on cars with 50.000 average ,some sellers relize age hoses things like that tune up regardless are things I do to a car that that old no matter the miles,an some sell there 150.000 miles cars at 5k are just living in another world ,I bought mine in 2007 with 69.000 for $4500.00 drove it hard for 6 years had about $5500,00 in it ,so it paid for itself before it become what it is now,an I have seen better deals ,but I wrote enough for now

Its from a private seller and he offered to trade for my Harley Street Glide. I think the value of my bike is aroung 16k so I am hesitant because of all the sites like KBB, NADA are valuing the car at about 12k.

yes that would be up to you ,I would think about $2500.00 an your bike splits it if your tradeing ,there out there mostly on craigs list are the deals in the fall ,ebay seems to have higher prices.right now there cost is up couse it still spring ,though depends on where you live too ,In NY in the fall was the deals I found on the 50k cars for like 5k people don't want to have to store them so on ,or need the money, ya right now is a tough time to buy, also think about it who wants to pay book value ,we want to pay below an as low as possible below right ,but also depends on how much you want the car ,I sold my bike when I got into my z28 an have not looked back ,don't miss the bike at all,one thing is for sure you will love the car if your sick of getting cut off on the bike an rain .for me it was an accident that did it for me ,an flash backs too/ did you know insurance companys don't use KBB or NADA ,they use what the cost of a car with that amount of miles an your area sells for so far as replacement value could be more ,you could get more for a new one in
invent of an accident

Best thing to do is go on ebay and see if you can find one comparable, that people are bidding on. That will help determine a more realistic street value. A "buy it now" price doesn't mean squat.

I hear you. The problem is my bike is a 2012 with only 1700 miles so mine is as new or better than the car. I was thinking asking 3k to even up myself. Its so hard because of the disperaty in prices out there. Some are in the 20s although I doubt many of those are selling. The like you said, others are very cheap. It's a hard decision for sure. I love the car because it really is mint but I don't love it so much as to take a 2k-3k hit. (If thats is really the value)

if it was a 6 speed it would be worth more. allot has to do with where your at. some areas it would go for 15 maybe. from the other side, i dont know what bikes are worth at all so it would be a good idea to look around and see what any like bikes are going for

Hugo J. Osorio 05-29-2016 05:17 PM

By Blue Book, the bike its worth 16k and a change.

yes I would not the Harley holds value ,though when I sold mine I had like 3200. in exrtas was worth nothing at resale ,but mine was not a Harley either ,yes I would say try 3k ,then you can do a few mods to the car ,or just whatever ,or you could wait till the fall when they will be down in price too ,? what does the guy want in cash for the car ,let me guess 16k ,ya that's to much ,you could go for 5th gen with a few more miles ,Auctions like said on ebay with low reserves are great to

Hugo J. Osorio 05-29-2016 06:13 PM

He claims he paid $16,800.
