yes I thank you I could feel it was slippery too,yes the leather seats are a. lot to ,it is why I bought ,just could not pass it up ,I can tell it was a beach car for bit ,but the rust it not . to bad ,an now that I got it away from there ,I imagine it was the owner b..b.efore this one ,I will keep it .down if I could get a few years out of it ,then sell it I think would be great anything pas.t.that's a bonus ,not a perfect car ,but only I know it from 10 feet no can tell ,this guy I bought it from only had it for like 4 months ,but kept .saying how great it ran ,he may have got it at auction cheap,he sells a few cars ,he has 1986 cutles .purple paint pretty good shape for the year with 350.asking 1800.oo an best offer an it s.tarted right up ,he was .firm on this one

found that with just few of the options the first buyer went with payed for the car to me ,the sport kit was 1755.00 leather seats $500.00 .just the options the car has more then payes for it ,t tops kit.co.st 995.00,so they went .with like $5000.00 in options,i got to motor trend ,an it wierd that. the 99 z28 from 99 has fair .market value of only $400.00 more right at $5000.00 an the v6 at $4600.00.. ,I know that not ke.lly blue book ,or the fact that most like the v8 engine I thinkan that most are willing to pay more ,I just seen a 99 with 20.000 less for $7999.95 with 67.000,ne.ver from a dealer buy a used car

I funny to think that In 99 you could buy the z28 for the same price as base convertable around 21.000 ,to me the z28 would have been a no brainer ,7000.00 for the covertable top ,then certain options ,I think I put this in another thread just interesting,i would not pay more for used convertible ,as the tops dont last unless there well taken care of

Own a convertible is like owning a pool. People that know them and love them should get them. People that think that would not be too bad should not buy one. Owning a rag top can be costly and kind of a pain.
Recalls are safety items. I believe recalls are preformed on any street legal car regardless of age or miles. There are some exceptions like tires. On older cars you might have to wait on parts. Could you imagine if someone went into a dealer and asked to have a safety recall done and they refused. Then some one got hurt. Ouch, just hand them the keys to the building.
As you guessed Bulletins are just known issues. It can be design or manufacturing issues. When I was a GM tech Thursday was bulletin day when all the bulletins for that week were passed out. This was before computers were big and we were suppose to learn them all. Some weeks we would get 10 bulletins. Some bulletin were dumb "if shock rubs CV boot" loosen trans and engine mounts push transmission and engine away from shock and retighten. On the other end of that there was the 89 TPI 350 Corvette with rough idle. Everyone assume the fuel injection when it was really a miss manufactured Cam. Ya find that without a bulletin

well come to find got few issues drivers side control arm ,used one 50.00 ,weathered tires new set 280.00 discout tire direct ,will need front brakes ,hope not till next year ,4 holes to repair ,then its inspected ,was not stored as much as i thought ,live learn ,i was so used to my rust free 95 ,i am going to have the guy oil the chit out of it underneath ,not before i use a few cans of undercoating ,someone parked it on grass or graval to much ,but still runs great,so i think it still worth it
