98 SS authenticity questions.
I just and went and looked at the 98 ss camaro today. (going to get rid of my 97) and looked the car over really well. car has 46,500 miles on it. its black with the 6sp tranny. some of my main questions on this car are:
is there supposed to be a slp option decal in the driver door jamb under the chevy one? i know the 96 and 97 ss cars had them but not sure on the 98. also shoukd there be slp paper work or again is that just 96 and 97?

i saw the wu8 code. i know a little more on the 96-97 ss cars and how they have another decal in the jamb that was from slp i just was wondering if the later ss cars had them. the car looks really good and everything works on it.

That is a lowly optioned SS, no Hurst, no leather super clean though. You can contact SLP and they can tell you your build number, this is the best way to authenticate. I have only seen SLP decals on the more optioned SS's, such as those with the SLP 345hp pkg

it may be low optioned but its a step up from my 97 z28. i have grown to hate the LT1 motor after working on the darn opti. I think it has a short thrown (but aftermarket) in it because the shifts were very close but im used to the muncie 4 in my 68.
