Default 97 RS 3.8L Radiator Hose Arrangement

Hey guys, I just purchased a 97 RS 3.8L manual transmission. I’ve looked at all the radiator hose diagrams and can’t tell if my hoses are hooked up and routed correctly. I have an open inlet plug right under the radiator fill cap. Any help is appreciated.

According the diagram it doesn’t appear there is a hose that is connected to this port. Is it supposed to be capped off?

yes I see that now thank you. I’m still interested in the line that is supposed to go to the inlet just below the radiator cap. It appears in all the drawings nothing goes there. Maybe it’s supposed to be capped off?

that’s what I’m thinking too. I’ll put a plug in it and fill it and see if everything operates like normal.

Wrong.

There is nothing there but an empty hole.
No sensor, no trans cooling bib.

Just an empty, unthreaded hole.

Pictures below are from an original '97 3.8 manual rad.
