I will go try that. I wonder why those schematics I found say 96 on them then?

 

The starting schematics did and were for the 96 but the others that related to the VATS system on that site were for the 94-95 (93 similar) It is a totally different system for 96-02. Good luck on your mission

I wanted to come and say that I found the issue. Apparently the old owner had a mouse trapped in there and it chewed through wires right behind the BCM to get out. I reconnected about 10 wires and it started up and stayed up. No wonder all problems were point to the BCM.

The code reader works on it now too and occationally I get a P0300 Random or Multiple Misfires error and I don't know what to look for. Any idea what that is?
