Default 95 camaro died while driving

I have a 1995 camaro automatic. I was driving on the freeway and the car died(no power breaks, steering, nothing) but the battery is fine. Still have radio windows and all that good stuff. My security light was on but not flashing because of a ignition cylinder that gotten changed out awhile back. never went to the dealer to have it cleared. Now the car won't even try to crank over. Thoughts?

have you tried just disconnecting the battery for say 30 minutes? I had issues with that security light when I first got my camaro. I disconnected the battery and left it overnight... everything worked fine in the morning.

Well i tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit. That didn't work. One thing I did notice is I do not have any dummy lights on. The only one says "Checkguages"

Well I've partially figured it out. Something is shorting out and blowing the PCM fuse. Not sure what yet though.

I have a 96 v6 and a few years ago I had a similar problem. I had parked my car at a gas station and when I came back out my car would not start or turn over and the security light was on solid. I tried disconnecting the battery but it did nothing. I had the car towed to the dealership and found out that the sensor in the ignition (not too sure of the exact name of the part) for the computer chip in the key had gone and my car essentially thought I was using the wrong key, which I wasn't. I had to get a new ignition sensor and new keys. The worst part was that I was 2 hours away from home and I could have had my GM guy fix it for a lot less than $400. Good luck!

The "computer chip" in the key is just a resistor.
You could've bypassed the system for 50 cents at radio shack.

Yep, just buy a resistor that matches the resistance of the "chip" on your ignition key.
