94 z28 problems

Default 94 z28 problems

the problem is that at a dead stop i can hit the gas farly hard and it sounds and feels like something is slaming into the bottom of the car around the concole area but it doesnt do it when your moving and hit the gas it acts normal any have any ideas what it could be or maybe had this problem befor

Broken transmission mount or broken torque arm bushing.

agree with pete,,, its the transmission mount. easy to change and cost 15-18 bucks.

i just checked all the mounts and there good i even crawled uder the car and tried to shake it and i couldnt buge it were is the tourque arm bushing at

You need to push the tranny up with a jack. I don't think you are strong enough to bounce the entire engine & transmission assembly. The torque arm bushing is a rubber cushion affair at the end of the torque arm where it connects to the transmision. The transmission mount connects the transmission to the crossmember. Change both of them out for best results.

its got a conciderable anount of weight on it. i doubt you will be able to move it. lift the tranny a little and undo the 4 bolts on the side, i would put money on it being broke.
