'94 Z28 hesitates to start when hot
My 94 Z28, new engine with 30,000 miles on it runs great, but for some reason, when I'm driving around town and it's warm outside if I make a quick stop at a store, then try to start it back up it sounds as though the battery is dead or has a bad connection. If I count to about 40, it will start up.
The battery seems to work fine otherwise, bad connections maybe?
Thoughts?

Sounds like a ground may be loose, start there. There's one on the underside, above the Front Right lower control arm, its protected in a thick plastic protective shell until it pops out and is grounded with a wire holder piece I believe, and There's a ground strap that goes from the ignition coil to frame that may be corroded, its right under the intake, easy access that'a way :]
And just make sure ur battery is legit, and the terminals are nice and clean, tight. And it may also be your icm which is attatched to the heatsink, which is right above the coil.. Might want to pop that off, clean the icm with some electonic cleaner and get artic silver 5 from radioshack and put it alllll over the icm's little heatsink where the icm sits and also on the back of the icm itself.. Thatll help it stay cool, and next time you get it hot, double check around the coil to check if the coil is sparking inside
clean the connections at the battery. take the cables off and wire brush the heck out the cable ends and the battery terminals. it could be failing starter, failing battery cable, lose/failing main starter cable, bad connection at battery. i would suspect the starter is getting tired but cleaning the connections has worked for me before and is cheap so no loss in trying
