94 z28 Governor

Default 94 z28 Governor

So, today i took the car for a lil spin on a straight stretch of road and i found out that it governs out at 130. and now i'm wondering what it would take to remove it

yep, it started chuggin right on 130, kind surprised me too.

I've had mine over 130. I don't know of a governor. What tranny and rear gears do you have?

The only speed limiter came on cars that were not equipped with Z rated tires, and the limiter was set at 115 MPH. If yor car can't get over 130 most likely the engine id misfiring under load. Bad plugs, bad plug wires, low fuel pressure under heavy load, sick engine, non stock final drive gears.
