93 z28 top speed 115
ok im just curious about this. iused to own a 1995 z28 camaro and the top spped was 150. why is the 1993 z28 camaro top speed on 115. also do anyone know what gears i have with the top speed being 115.

You know how they also have different versions of spedometers? One only goes up to 125 and the other to 155. Is it possible to swap a 125 to 155 one? If yes, anybody knows of a good place to get the 155 one?

The speedo can be calibrated, it will have to be taken in to a shop unless you know what your doing... Z28pete is correct, that is what they governed them to ( tire ratings ) unless it was a convertable, after 92, they governed them at 105MPH cause some geniuses would go faster and try to put the top down. lol

EDIT: If you do this make sure to get the whole cluster not just the face.
To the original poster, we answered this in your thread in the street/strip section. Chevy didn't want to be held liable for idiots driving faster than the tires were rated for. That andthey saved money, using cheaper tires.
