93 Z28 red connector found disconnected under steering wheel

Anyone have any idea what it is and what it does? Should I be concerned that it is not connected? I don't really see anywhere that it would go to.

Not sure what it is but based on the corrosion on those connectors it has not been plugged in for a very long time.

That's the connector for the REAR DEFOGGER SWITCH/TIMER. You probably don't have that option.
