(93 Camaro SS intake)

I've looked an looked but cant seem to find a ram air intake hook up. My car has a ram air hood of a trans-am and I was wondering Does the ram air kit from a trans-am hook up in the Camaro? It of course has the Lt1. Just bought the car and have started building it. Please help!!

You would need the induction parts from a WS6 Transam to go with your hood,Camaros didn't have the ram-air system.
Both cars had the LT1 and the same chassis so it should be an easy swap.
You might try ebay or watch craigslist for parts or cars parting out.
There were no SS models in '93 the SS package returned in '96 but still didn't have ram-air.
I had a '93 Z28 for quite a few years,good luck with yours.

The question is who made your hood? they would be the only ones that sold a kit.WS6 or and firebird hood is not going to fit on a Camaro. The whole front end is different. Just look at how different the head lights are. There used to be a LOT more hood manufacturer then there are today. Chances are your only option is going to be to make it your self.

If the original WS6 receiver will work your still screwed both GM and SLP discontinued them 10 years ago and they are not high enough volume for anyone else to make. When they show up used on ebay its a bidding war between the guys fixing original cars and those making clones.

FYI the SS had the ram air option on the LT1. If the WS6's are rare then the Camaro SS ram air systems are Super rare.

I give up trying to get a image of the SS LT1 ram air system, they are out there on google I just can't link them.

Oh heck I was thinking a stock TA hood, Gorn is right, all bets are off as for making anything fit.
