9 inch in my 02 Z?
Hi Guys
Need a bit of help here. I am an ex old car guy and this is my first Z. Only had it for a few months but I am really getting into comfort and cup holders for the Starbucks. Don't even miss my 58 DelRey 4 speed now. I have a 2002 Z28 M6 that I want to hop up a bit. I have a complete left over 9 inch Lincoln disc to disc, parking brakes and all. I want to get it modified to bolt into my Z.
Since I already have it, I hoped I could use it rather than buying a new Strange 60 or Moser 12 bolt. My hope is it can be used as a good core and save some dough. I have a complete 2002 6.0 iron block take out and a 4 inch stroker kit for it so I know I will mess up the 7.5 as it already howls with the stock motor. I don't want a total drag car, maybe the mile but I like the corners best so maybe a bit of the Silver State kind of car when it is done.
The car has only 52,000 on it and has all the options, it is my daily driver, almost 50 miles round trip so I dont want to mess it up too much. Any one know a good shop in the LA area who could do the trick with out wanting an arm and a leg? This is also my first LS1 so all advice is appreciated.
Thanks for the help in advance

RE: 9 inch in my 02 Z?
I suppose you could get the 9 inch you have to work, but it would depend on if you can find a qualified shop to do the mounting point conversion and if it needs to be narrowed etc. It might cost you close to what a Moser or Strange unit will after all is said and done.

Thanks that was my concern. Since I had it I hoped someone in the area would know a good shop. Maybe the hot ticket is to just sell the bugger to one of my buddies and buy the aftermarket bolt in. Thanks for the input.
