Default which 4th gen year is the most reliable?

I always wanted a camaro but the first couple I had were early 90s and they were just complete money pits.

I ended up getting a loan and getting a 2006 mustang gt which has been reliable, and i have put about 500$ in mods on it, but honestly i loved camaros/firebirds the best....and so I want to find a GOOD camaro or firebird with a v8 and t-tops.

so which year do you recommend? 2000 and up? I will find one and travel to the moon if I have to!

and i;m tired of the damn crew and keeping up with their standards, they always pressuring me to get newer cars and i'm just losing all my money, and i think the 4th gens look better than the 5th gen, and i dont care what girls think anymore cuz i know the **** life god has cursed me with, even if i drive a ferrari i wont get a girl to ****ing like me so im just gonna try to find my favorite camaro and keep.

so which years do you recommend?

I'm gonna go to a dealership tomorrow and dealers can do a "dealer search" in the WHOLE USA and find me a nice camaro for a good price, and i'll trade my car in and get the camaro i'm just gonna live my life...what year should i get?

would it be smart to get a camaro? this last year alone i have gone through 3 cars....and now i got a loan for this msutan, 2006 gt with 30k miles 15k$ so hoping i can trade in for a 4th gen v8 camaro and get some money back and not have a car payment anymore, would that be good idea?

what year should i look for and how much should i look to pay?

Me personally I like the 98s and newer Z28s. The 96 Z28 we had was sort of a pain to work on. Ex. like trying to do a tune up. That and it seemed like the headlights sucked as well, but that could of been our preference. But really its all up to you and your preference. They all seem to be reliable.

When you are talking about a 10+ year old car how it has been treated is more of a factor then the original design.

I would be looking for a 1999-2002 that has been stored in the winter, garage kept, mostly dealer maintained with all the records. Then I would go over the car with a fine tooth comb. In your case you should pay a mechanic to check it out. A real mechanic, someone that works on car 8-10 hours every day.

Exactly what he said ^ I went over mine really well and I seen a few things wrong with it already, but nothing to serious that I can fix.
