4th gen facts
Would anyone redirect me to a site that has a facts list of all the 4th gens facts like LT1 vs LS1 and actuall 1/4 mile times and HP rateings?
what I need it for is to prove to a few friends that a LT1 isnt better then a LS1 and that a Trans am is the same asa Camaro. I meen a Z28=Trans Am=SS=WS6 I just cant seem to find any site witha facts list....im just getting tired of all the BS that they say. lol. Drives me nuts.

i have no sites, but 1st off the lt1 is not *better* than the ls1, stock yes the ls1 is more powerful, because its the newer version of the lt1, with more technology gm was able to build a better engine, there are lt1's out there that will hand ls1s there *** on a silver platter, they both re-act well to mods, and the lt1 has a better low end torque...its all about opinions and personal interest...as far as t\a same as a camaro, yes they are, both made by gm both have the same exact engine and specs..just one looks different than the other..

the lt1 has amazing off the line thrust, and so does the ls1, but from what i know(not 100% on this) but the lt1 builds up more torque with mods than the ls1 does, just from what ive heard ...and they both react well to mods, just the fact is that the ls1 newer so its gonna have more effect that the lt1, not that big of a diff though, i mean you can say the ls1 is better than the lt1 in stock form, but when you get into modding them, there just as good as each other

I just thought I'd clarify some things. The LS1 is not a newer version of the LT1, the LS1 has a completely different block. That being said, they can both be really strong motors, the LS1 is stronger out of the box, but the LT1 has more torque at a lower RPM than the LS1. The LS1 has more peak torque, but it's at a higher RPM. I'm not sure of a sight that compares both of them...

yea, lt1 are AMAZING 1/8 mile cars and ls1's are better 1/4 mile cars. stock to stock. Just the way it is, but the ls series motors are simply amazing and do react somewhat better...
