the 99+ engine had a throttle by wire setup wich gave a slightly different upper intake and the throttle body is totally different. Your intake and plumbing for the air filter are going to be different but your alternator is in about the same place as mine. My intake is factory and it has been painted black then I filed the 3800 Series II to a bright machined looking finish.

far as i can tell hollow sway bars are only in front. if they are sold in a set then they are matched to each other. not a good idea to be mix matching sway bars. if you want it stiffened up a bit pick up some stock z28 sway bars.

 

And therein lies the question: Will sway bars that are made for the z28 subframe fit on an RS? Forgive me if my questions aren't quite clear, but I can't think of the right way of wording this stuff. For now, I'm just going to assume that an apple is still an apple, regardless of color or taste, and go with whatever they have available on the site for '97 Camaros

 

you will need to use the bushings from the larger sway bars. other than that should be good to go. be a good idea to pick up some new end bolts and bushings.

 

I was feeling the same, to be completely honest. I'll have to end up replacing those anyway, it seems. They appear to be rusted through, and may need to be drilled out where the bolt attaches the sway bar in the wheel well. I'll get pictures up when I can so I can show you what I mean, and maybe you can assist me in getting them out without having to replace major hardware?
