The price is actually about par for the Canadian car market; I searched on several sites and across the whole country to compare. And it's honestly too much effort to start looking south of the border.

I used canadianblackbook.com, which showed between $8-10k trade in value for my Cobalt.

So yeah, I'll head over Monday afternoon and see what happens- I have no problems walking away if I have to spend more than say... $2000 on top of my trade, but even if that's unreasonable to expect, at least I'll have tried.

Alright well~ Here's the results~

It's a US car, so it's actually 73,000 miles, not kilometers. Still, she runs good, feels good, and looks in pretty damn good shape too.

I couldn't get them to budge on their price even with the mileage discovery, but I managed to talk them up to $10k for my damaged Cobalt, and went for it. Maybe it wasn't the best deal ever but I'd say I did alright at least.

Pictures to come when I get her home~

That's pretty good for a 2002 ss. I've only seen ones for $20 000 plus. But that's with around 40-50 k km on them.

I s'pose the next order of business is to get a picture of my IROC and my SS next to each other once I've got 'em both home. :3

I'm on the south side, although I work north/central and in St. Albert, depending which of my two jobs I'm at.

Wow that's a long drive to St. Albert. I live north side just outside of St. Albert. Deaer photos suck. Lol. I'm shocked you got that price for your cobalt. those things aren't very valuable. Lol. You need to get lots of photos of the 2 together. If this rain ever let's up. They're calling for another 20-30 mm on Friday. Is londondary dodge giving you a decent warrenty or just one of those 30 day 5000 km ones?

I know it's a ways, but the part time job pays $20/hour and I like driving anyway, so it's no big deal~

You know they didn't even mention a warranty- so I imagine that's what I will get.

It'll probably be another couple weeks 'till I can get a shot of both of them; the IROC's getting a new engine put in, and until the postal strike ends, I ain't gettin' the new computer for it. 'till that happens it's sitting at Joey's Place on the west end.

Lol. Ya this postal strike is going to cause problems with my snowmobile engine coming back from Cali for it's total rebuild and my camaro's rear end parts coming from Florida. Damn lazy postal service. Where in St. Albert you work that pays that much? What you doing for your iroc engine? 383 stroker?

"lazy postal service" eh? I'm a full time letter carrier. It's actually a lockout, not a strike. The corporation won't let us work.

My part time job in St. Albert is one of the Safeways, I been with 'em 7 years so I'm at the top pay rate.

The IROC's getting a built 350- heads and cam for now; I might do intake and exhaust later on when I have money again. In the meantime I think it'll be interesting to find out which Camaro is faster, lol~
