Yes, its possible to be around 400 hp with full exhaust...
Maybe I'm wrong.. But F-body LS1's are quoted at 325 hp. Some say thats underrated and they're really 345. So your exhaust would have to give 55-75 hp. I mean, if you want to get into the technicalities of it, and go ahead with the 345 hp, then sure, full exhaust may get you somewhere close to the 400hp ballpark.
But it's not something i would bet on, or really "claim" on my own car..
Then again i guess it depends on the year too. Some of the later LS1's had better flowing exhaust manifolds than the earlier ones, at least from what i'm told..

Well the average Fbody LS1 puts 305 to the ground... You do the math... Then you have some SS models putting down 320... If it's an above average SS, then it's possible... Because that would stick you around 350 to the ground. Again you do the math

Yeah, it really depends on what you wanna start with i guess. I've never seen a stock f-body (SS or not) that put down anymore than about 325ish to the ground. Then again, i haven't looked a lot either..
If it were mythbusters i would go with plausibly plausible.

i want a mainly stock car so i can build it myself. but if its got some simple bolt on that is fine by me. I guess i could roll around with the SS and the 400hp even if its not true.. that way i wont be bothered by stupid ricers... unless they are really stupid and think they could beat a Camaor that claims 400hp.

No the T/A was like 30 bucks more expensive and that pewter Metallic which im not really a fan of. Wouldnt turn one down for the right price but id take an SS Camaro over a T/A nonws6.

Anyway, i drove the SS today. From what i sawits got a Spohn strut bar and a siiiiick exhaust system. Its center port like ive never seen before. Of course it has all the SLP intake. It has a bumpin sound system. with two amps and a nice set of subs that are mounted in the sides of the trunk not just set in there. As for the front fender it was a wee bit miss aligned. and in the center console there are some scratches and that black paint in theconsoleis kinda flaking off. It ran pretty good, sounded good. but the aftermarket head unit was hooked up to the steering wheel controls. I took it out on the high way. Worked my way into the diamond lane and nailed the pedal and the thing SCREAMED..... I may not get this SS since i will need a 3500 down payment since its 7 years old and has 100k and by the time i get 3500 it will probably be sold.but i will get an LS1 and im not sticking to T/A anymore. Whatever comes alone for a reasonable price, in good shape and a clean running LS1 i will shoot for. Im still not getting a Red one tho... or that teal green color...
