You can always get the VIN and check with SLP, they have a record of every single VIN that came to them and the option codes associated with it.

I looked at serveral other SS Camaros and many dont have the SS in the vin so i guess ill have to look for the WU8 RPO. However like i said they claim 400hp and the only thing it looks like it has aftermarket is exhaust. Could full exhaust=400hp? Possibly only engine hp not rwhp?

No SS i have ever seen has SS in the VIN, including my own. If you check for RPO codes, you might as well check for all the important ones. LS1, Z28, and WU8.
As for as full exhaust getting 400hp, definately not. Not on an otherwise stock LS1. The Y-pipe on a stock LS1 is pretty crappy, but still, you won't get 400 hp out of just exhaust.
As far as a website to check with SLP, i think the only way you can get the info (that i know of, anyway) is over the phone (or by mail, if you order it). The number is (732) 349-2109.

Hmm. ok ill check the RPO codes and see if i cant spot how they can claim 400hp... because if it doesnt have 400hp im not going to cruise around with it stamped on my hood..

I could see a FULL exhaust getting you close to that mark... Headers and back... It's possible
