2001 SS, Good Price?
1 Attachment(s)
Well the 2002 Z28 I found sold before I was able to get to it, this may have been a blessing in disguise though. I've now found a 2001 SS Red Man 6 with 48,590 miles for sale for $14900. This car has all the options and it's a T-Top. I checked KBB and the retail value is 12,900. What do you guys think about this price?

Area dependent. For a 2001 it seems a bit high. I bought my 2002 T/A with 41,000 miles for $12,800. I have seen 2002 Camaro SS's with mileage in the 20,000's sell for $15k and up. But, like I said before, it is all dependant on your area.

i think it looks good but unless 4th gen v8s are hard to come by in your area thats a little high on price

It's the only SS in my area with low miles in good condition for less than 16000 that I have found. |
The best question now to ask is: Is this car worth $15000 to you? If it is the only SS you have come across, and you feel ok with the price then I guess you should go get it right now! It looks like the car is at a dealer, so the price would be a bit higher there.

Where are you located? If you're sold on a manual trans, that affects the higher price too. There's an 01 SS in Indiana on craigslist, 75k miles, long tube headers, new tires, but with an automatic. $7,500.

I'm definitly sold on getting a manual. I got away from it, and I regret it every day. Just because the dealer is asking 15,000 doesnt mean he'll get it from me. I'm sure we will negotiate something.

id say get him to book value and youll be happier... i only paid 9500 for mine at 70k miles
