Default 2001 problems (head gasket, internal coolant leak)

hey guys so i found out i have an internal coolant leak which is getting into the engine. ive been fillin up the coolant and its goin through it fast. im starting to get the first signs of a blown head gasket. what should i do and whats some prices for the fix. i appriciate it thanks

What engine is it? You should stop driving thats the first step. Second would be a compression test to ensure it's the head gasket and not the intake manifol gasket. Then once you know which one it is replace or bring to a mechanic to replace.

Depends on where you live, any full service garage should be able to give you a quote based on Chiltons time over the phone. Around me anything under $900 is a very good deal. I think about $1100 is the normal. Anyone quoting over $1200 is just hoping you take it somewhere else.
