2001 Camaro Z28 vs 2011 Mustang GT (5.0)
Hey, here to drop off a video that I took of my friend and I racing. I'm in the 2001 Camaro Z28, a 4 speed automatic against his 2011 Mustang GT 5.0, a 6 speed manual. All comments and constructive criticism is appreciated. Thanks!

I know. I went out there thinking I was going to get my *** kicked, but just wanted to see how bad it would be. Did surprisingly well as you see, he was still learning how to shift the car and was not very experienced at this point. But a win is a win.

too funny
if you look in the mirror, the stang is gaining when the driver stopped shifitng and let the engine get into its power band
It's a 5 liter that needs to be up in the rpm's.
If you launch the six speed stang hard, it just spins and spins and spins.
Bring them to the track, slap on some DR's and don't be ashamed
the LS1 maros are no slouch but but the 2011 5.0 is incredible
despite all of that, drive the stang for over 50 miles vs the maro. You'll be cursing the headrests as much as I do. I think chiropractors invented them to increase business.
The most comfortable vehicle to drive I've ever owned is a Honda Accord but the 4th gens aren't bad to drive either. The stang..............uggghhhhhhh

if he's rolling on stock 18's the tires are only 235's
if he runs premium and is all stock beyond that, he's sitting at around 365 RWHP, maybe a lil bit more. He's going to do nothing but roast those tires
again, drag radials and give them a go
I'm not here to bash maros, heck no, I own 2. But, let's not try to be overly impressed by this result. CAI, aftermarket tune and you are darn close to 400 RWHP with the six speed manny. Toss on some axle backs and even a wee bit more
the 5.0 is a killer engine and they built the vehicle to handle it.
