Default Moving pressure sending unit to a sandwich adapter

Hi
I recently acquired a 98 3.8l Base. The oil pressure dropped and the oil was full. I bought a new opsu and over torqued it and broke off the top of the housing. Instead of replacing the housing I was wondering if it's possible to just seal off the broken housing and put the sending unit on a sandwich adapter? Thank you for any help you can provide.

He broke off the oil pressure sending unit, and wants to install a sandwich adapter between the block and oil filter, to then screw in a sending unit there. Answer is yes, that's what they're made for. But what is the plan to cork up the remains of the snapped off sender, tap and thread a bolt into the hole?

holy crab you broke the adapter. if the hole is deep enough and round enough tap it so you can screw a bolt in it. did a quick look for camaro 3.8 filter adapter and they is not around that i can see.

I couldn't find that part online either...that's why I was wondering if it is ok to just seal that off... I don't wanna ruin the car...maybe a bolt and jb weld or weld some metal to it....the piece that broke off crumbled...
