Default 1996 lt1 to ls1 swap questions

I'm in the process of looking at a 96 z28 that is missing its motor and trans. The car was a t-top lt1 with a 6speed manual tranny. I was thinking of picking it up and possibly putting an ls1 into the car, I have seen alot of threads regarding v6 to ls1 but not many going to ls1 from lt1.

What exactly is needed?

The lt1 to LS1 swap is not as hard as the v6 to V8 swap. I think someone makes an adapter harness but I have been told its only a matter of switching 3 wires. I dont think anyone form this site has done it.

Your buget going to need to be big because a low miles LS1 with a 6 speed is going to cost from $2000-2800
