1994 z28, what should i be running?
Hey im new to the forum, and i just bought a 1994 camaro z28, and i was wondering what kinds of times you think i should be running. Its automatic, its got a hooker cat-back, pace setter headers, morso wheel well intake, ecu tune, ac delete pully, msd opti spark, and a mass air flow. anybody got any ideas as to what kind of timesishould be running?

I would think a low 14 poss??? a real high 13 imo?? Dont have a lot of knowledge on camaro times but I do mustangs and I had one that ran 14.4 in the 1/4 and I was beet by stock lt1's often!! These guys would know more though about this topic? I have a 96 lt and it seems faster than my old 5.0(stock)

well, i have a 6 speed, that's the only difference. not knocking the auto, but 6 speed is more my style. i've heard conflicting opinions that the auto is a little bit quicker b/c of a more aggressive 1st gear, but i dont know for sure, i've never run against an auto z28.

Or if they actually use more gears. If you race a stick that actually used 5 gears compared to your four I am sure they would win if the two cars are identical. Auto is only faster if the loss in RPM's are compensated by someones slow shift times.
