Default 1994 Camaro. will not start

The other day at work when I went out to my car to start it, it would not start. I was not getting any head lights and ringing from the key being inserted in the ignition. I figured it was the battery that had died so i tried jumping it but it was not the battery, the battery has charge and theres no loose battery cables. I have dome lights and glove box lights but when i insert the key or turn on the headlights the dome and glove box lights turn off. If I insert the key sometimes I can hear faint ignition ring but when I turn the key to start it the ring stops. The car is completely dead and does not try to turn over. I think it might be a short somewhere but I dont know. This is my first camaro and i bought it a month ago. Any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

u need to take the battery cables off and clean the battery terminals and the cable ends. if thats not it take the wires off the junction box (small plastic red box on the passenger side fenderwell) and clean the ends so they get a good connection.
