what should i do?
I found a 1992 RS camaro for sale the guy dosent know what if its a 305 or 350, it has a 5 speed, the car has 177000 on it and he clames the motor and clutch have 30000 on it. The body needs work but the interior is in good condition. He said its some kind of special edition and there were only 74 of them made is this true? he want 4500 for it and i was just wondering if it sounds like something i should do or can i find a better deal? any help will be appreciated. thanks

look out man...if the guy said its one of 74 made you would think he would know more about it.....camaros are all over the place and can be bought for fairly cheap either have him prove it to you or walk away

5 speed manual is prob a 305 get the vin and look it up
as for special editions i think all had very noticeable decals or paint schemes
the only 92 decal kit see in my book is the 25th aniversery and its white with 2 red stripes down the top
there was an indy car in 82? but it says indianapolis 500 on the door

If the 8th didgit is an "8" then its a factory 350 TPI... if its an "F" then its a factory 305 TPI, if its a 5 speed then it wont be a "T" Top if its a 350 of that year... My guess, its an aftermarket engine... An RS usually came with a TBI 2.8 6 CYL engine. And there were no Camaro's that there were only "74" of them made. In the RS a 305 was an option, but it was not a TPI it would have been a TBI...

i asked a couple of camaro nuts around my area this morning since there always here at the dealership and none of them have seen or heard of special edition cars in that year and if there was there would be noticable markings on the car .....like i said man walk away from this one

hold on there are special editions that year, its nothing more than the heritage strip package. and there should be a badge on the inside pass side and in the rear of the car stating its a 25th aniversary edition. check the engine, it should be a tbi 305, there were no RS with 350. BUT!!!!!!! if he has the super rare not even produced gm project car with the 350 vette motor sweet but i doubt it and i doubt he knows what hes talking about, just dont buy it, i got my 91 for $2000
