what do you think i should do
hello to all. i've found myself in quite a dilemma here, figured i would get your guy's opinion on this. Im a camaro fan regardless of the year it is. but on the other hand I'm a DeLorean fan just as much. my question is to you guys is whats should i do: save up to get my Dream car the Delorean, or Restore the 83 Camaro i have. im trying to weigh my options
Delorean pro's
collector car
great investment
will last forever ..... literally
rare car
eye turner
Reliable 250k miles +
Gull wing doors for tight space
Delorean Con's
Declining in population
Harder to get parts
Parts are more expensive
not much power
Camaro pro's
Good muscle/ sports car
Alot of power for v8 model (mines a 350)
Easy to Restore and repair
Good collector car ( in my opinion)
Fast
Camaro Con's
My generation is " dime a dozen"
A rusted out honda civic is worth more
not a great investment ( unless thats all you do)
can get expensive to restore
body rusts out really fast
Delorean pro's
collector car

Fix up the Camaro and make it a nice driver. You would most likely be driving it daily over a Delorean. Then when you have a nice looking, good running Camaro buy the Delorean. The delorean might eat into your pockets more than the Camaro.

well the way i saw it was that after i get the DeLorean , I can always go get another 82-92 camaro for 5 or 6 hundred, its not like i took a big loss.

Yep, if you add a flux capacitor to the DeLorean, and manage to get the thing up to 85 MPH, you also can go back to the future. If not, you can always use a Brillo pad to perk up the finish. LOL

if i turn my DeLorean in a bttf car i could sell it for over 100g's and buy hundreds of 3rd gen camaros. lol actually probably a gto, camaro, and a vette, and another Delorean.

but theyre worth more than any camaro out there, and there only going up in value so say whatever you want about the fugliness of the car, because a 1982-97 camaro isnt any nicer, too be a car nerd, the man who invented the Delorean ( john Delorean) developed the body style of the 93-02 camaro, firebird, t/a 20 years before they used it, they didnt think it would make GM money so they scrapped it and then in 90-91 they used it in theyre concept T/A , firebird , and camaro. I'ts called " the banshee" body style.

RE: what do you think i should do
delorean didnt make the camaro, he came up with the fire bird/TA design, i have seen deloreans sell for around 6-7 grand, and they are ugly as hell. they are slow, and most people i know with them dont even drive them anymore, or have sold them due to the NON tang getting of the car, but otherwise go for it, if it dont work out you could take all the stainless and scrap it, lol.
