The whole transmission. The 2.8 V6 bellhousing is a smaller pattern size than the V8.

 

i am not sure it is all factory that i know of how can u tell what tans it is

 

69 is almost never wrong so u should start looking for another trans. dont know when but the six s changed sometime along the line back when and the transmission became non interchangable with a v8. 700r4 trans for a 8 is not that hard to find.

The one V6 engine that will bolt up to a V8 trans housing (or vice-versa) is the 4.3, which is basically a baby 350.
