Is your snap on tool some thing like a Modis? I have a Modis and it will give info on the items and can do component test. A 5v signal is the most you should. So I think the TPS is on. Now the IAC is at 40% at idle? Can you drive it with the snap on tool on while watching the data? Better yet have some one else drive while you watch. See what it goes to when you let off the throttle.

ya i took it to a freind to analize the data he is a gm tech so i figured he should know we ran a bunch of test and it seems the map sensor has gone bad and its not regulating the vac and fuel when coming off the throttle. oh and the com is accually made by solarious or somee thing like that not the best speller. so ya if any one is havin that kind of prob there is a good starting point

The strapon Solus
A map does not regulate vacuum. It measures and tells the computer. When they go bad the computer will compensate with the TPS.
