Sensors
Could someone tell me the number and names of sensors on a 1986 IROC Z28?
I would also like to know of a good manual that has a wiring diagram . The manual I have is sorry to say the least. I like this site. Been reading a lot. Lots of nice rides. Roy |
are you looking for part numbers, or just an amount of sensors? anything in particular? haynes and chiltons manuals both have good wiring diagrams.

I have a haynes and it doesn't have a wiring diagram. I shouldn't expext much for $0.99.
I know there is a throttle position switch, air flow sensor, knock sensor. I don't know the name of the switch under the throttle body near the temperture sending unit. I don't think this engine has a EGR valve. It is just like the older cars with a tube coming out of the valve cover going into the intake. I'll have to get a good manual. I like to read up on procedures the day before i start on something. Thanks for the reply. |

The tube you're talking about (if you're referring to the passenger side) is a crankcase vent tube, and is normal. Are you thinking of a PCV valve? Yours should be either in the other valve cover, or the intake manifold. |
I'll get a better manual. Thanks.
