Default New air filter?

Im new to Camaros and all that so this question will probly sound dumb to most of you out there but, right now I have a stock air filter setup on my 305 and it just kinda looks boring. So, I was wondering if It would cause the engine to overheat, or somthing like, that if I were to put one of those cheap open air filters on it from AutoZone. I think it makes the engine look a lot cooler but I don't wanna do it if it will cause my engine problems. Thanks.

Default RE: New air filter?

it shouldnt cause your engine any problems as long as it is installed properly and that is a quality air filter, the air filter doesnt have anything to do with the car overheating, that deals with the cooling system
