i have a 1989 rs 305 tbi 5.0 camaro. I was driving it yesterday, it drove fine. Then all of a sudden it started to buck then cut off. it felt like it wasent getting gas. Later that day i changed the fuel filter. it started up no problem, but now when i drive it, i would step on the gas and it would buck the same way. Your hep and time is much appricated

 

this happened to me last year, im not sure if it is the same thing but i ended up replacing a small white module inside the distributer. forget what it is called but it solved my problem. worth a shot

 

it starts but idels high and low on top of the problem that i've stated before

check your plugs n wires first man
always do work cheapest easiest first

 

We changed the throttle body not the problem. i've been telling my dad lets do a regular tune up and see what happen he said "that wouldn't cause it". Now he open the the black cover to where the plugs go into and tried taking out the whit thing on top. Meanwhile he broke the brown circular thing under the white thing and the car wouldn't start. he takes it to the mechanic, told him what happen, Mechanic changed the entire distributor, problem fix it doesn't idle high and low and it drives, not the fuc*ing car drives like a honda. it doesn't move like it use to... for $380 you wanna get the car fixing right. a tune up with all the wires was done as well.

 

man i wish i could help,,but this is the sadest forum for tech advice ive ever seen,,these guys are carb and tpi junkies,,forgot all about us tbi guys,go to s10 planet.com for advice,,no camaros there but good tech guys,,they helped me with my prob,,good luck!

heres an idea, try fuel injector cleaner, worked for me.
