How to hook up electric choke carb
.how hard is it to hook up a electric one. i do not know to much about the electric part. the vehicle is gonna be converted from fuel injection to a carb if that helps ya any.
it's difficult going from fuel injected to carburated.. i had the 350 tpi and switched to carburated. the worst thing was gettin the fuel pressure rite at first i thought i would leave the electric fuel pump hooked up and it would work.. well 30 pounds of pressure is a little much on a carburater so we regulated it. i dont know if this is what happend but the fuel pressure all the sudden would go out i though mayb the ecm was shutting down the fuel pump. so i gave up on that idea and i got a stock manual fuel pump for a 86 silverado and put it on. after that my maunal pump wasnt getting enough pressure because it was sucking through the stock fuel pump so i cut a hole in the trunk and replaced the stock fuel pump with a piece of hose and i strapped it on with several zip ties. i didnt make it to long i didnt want it suckin up anything from the bottom of the tank. that fixed my fuel problem.. the next hardest thing was to find parts for the top end that fit under the hood.. all i could fit was an 8 inch air clener. everything else hit the distributor and i couldnt put a riser because it hit the hood..
