OK looking to go cheap on my 305 till the 383 done

now i want to know if a lt 1 cam will work in my roller 89 305? and if its worth the time to swap out

should i use my vortec heads with it? it has reg 350 center bolts on it now

or if anyone knows where i can get a decent to stout street strip roller cam let me know.

 

oh ya havent pulled pistons or checked the bores but what size over rings should i get .0200 or .0300 can get ful set for re ring up to .0600 over for $25

 

Just a question, if you are building a stroker, why would you even put a single cent into a motor you are going to toss? Or is the stroker way down the road? It just seems like a lot of work to me.....

Anyways, your cam selection is pretty limited to your heads capacity....and your computer in handling that fuel/air delivery change.

 

383 wont be in till next year... but im tired of slow i want to be a little faster i can get atleast 100 extra hp out of a top end swap maybe more. combined with my eaton lsd 3.73 and tci super street fighter 700r4 IT will HOPEFULLY be more fun

 

save it for the 383. roller cams are very expensive, and a budget one will probably just break or wear out quick
