HELP Please, Misfire?

I have an 87 IROC , first off my dad and I just rebuilt a 73 350 and dropped in my car and I'm having problems getting it to run right

I've determined it is cylinder #2 not firing because the header doesnt get hot, just warm. I've readjusted the rockers on that cylinder, replaced all spark plugs and plug wires, and it still misfires

help please

also my gas mileage is terrible since the swap, I've gone 300 miles and had to fill up 5 times

With the valve cover off, and tapping the engine over, does it look like the #2 valves are traveling up and down as much as the others are?
Measuring their full movement and comparing them would help. What lash adjustment procedure did you follow?

yeah, they're moving the same, I replaced the spark plug wires again, seems as though the wire from the other set was defective, found that out the hard way, got zapped pretty good through my arm down through my leg back into the fender... wow what power...

while I was at work today i had a lot of time to think about the car, and i thought maybe the timing was off since at some points in time while accelerating it sounded as though it was firing through into the exhaust, I checked and my dad set the timing at 10 degrees retard instead of 10 degrees advanced... I adjusted that and it smoothed out about 90%, pretty sure cylinder 2 is still having a bit of issues so I got some Lucas engine oil stabilizer and seafoam, dumped both in and it took away most of the rest of the vibrations from the engine... which makes me wonder if maybe theres a sealing issue with the piston rings

does it take some time for new rings to get kinda worked in?

if gapped properly, they will work thier best after about 500 miles of break in. what sort of vibrations are you experiencing?
