damn thats expensive! oh and the guy that was helping me with the other side(passenger) forgot to put back in the dipstick and its sheath so now im leaking oil and i can seem to be able to get it back in! what should i do? ive gotten an estm. from a shop and they said that they would be able to do it for about 30 bucks does that seem alright? and how long can i wait on that heat tape and sheild? im broke right now

You can wait awhile on the heat tape.. as far as the sheild..napa or autozone should have one for less then 10... your car can go awhile before it burns it up...... I did the same thing as vou, first I pluged the dip stick hole until i was ready to jack it up, unbolt the header and then reinstall the dipstick...I would say 30 for that is cheap.

lmao sounds like u just started cutting stuff out of ur car u didnt know what it was
ORIGINAL: oneals camaro
its a 1991 rs 5.0 and it was horrible! i also had to cut out all of those metal pipes that hook to the stock headers. I got rid of my a/c thing that hangs toward the fire wall, oh and a bunch of rubber tubing that didnt seem to go anywhere. The tubing just connected to itself over and over agian but didnt really connect to any of what i think are the vital engine parts.
