I take it you mean the hole is in the pan? A rubber plug will likely blow out once the fluid gets hot to soften it, and with pressure against it.
So what did you get, a 350 or 700?

also when i got to the junk yard i knew they only had 2 or 3 camaros that would work with mine after i found out that none of them had trannys i went after the firebirds and with luck i found one a 92 and it had the tranny it came out of a v 6 and a guy there that was a tranny guy told me it would work with my 350 since it was the same bolt pattern so if it wasnt for this guy i wouldnt have found this tranny thank that man lol

I hate to tell you this, but you're gonna want to go find that "tranny guy" and give him a swift kick in the nuts.
The v6 bellhousing bolt pattern (other than the 4.3 that wasn't in an f body) is smaller than the v8. It isn't going to bolt up.

The trans is a one piece unit, no separate bellhousing. Separate bellhousings didn't come until 96 with the 4L60E.

No, a V6 transmission won't work. Time to put it on CL and find another transmission.
