RE: few questions
You left out the whole TBI vs carb'ed question . . .
Until you take the aircleaner (the round thing in the center) cover off, it's hard to tell. If you take it off and you see an open bowl, it's carb'ed. If there is an injector and some wires, it's Throttle Body Injection (TBI). Although, a TBI engine is pretty much the same as a carb; just depends upon whether you havejets or a computer controlled injector squirting fuel.

RE: few questions
And just to clarify, the first engine is carb/TBI and the second pic is TPI (Tuned Port Injection)
Without seeing the car, I'd hazard a guess that it's TBI. I don't think they were still using carbs in '91, though I could be wrong.

RE: few questions
Ah, gotcha. So I assume you didn't put this crate engine in? Hmmm . . . just a guess, but if somebody went to the trouble of putting a crate engine in, and not taking advantage of the chance to upgrade to a 350, I would guess that they would do whatever was easiest, which in this case would probably mean leaving the TBI intact. If it definitely isn't TPI, I'd guess that it is probably still TBI.
