Ok so I have a 1987 IROC z28 with a 305, the radiator works, my temp stat is the stock version and I have my air dam. But my car keps over heatting horribly.

Me and my dad were talking it over and think that it has to do with the fan, which is hardwired to run whenever the car is on. But something is missing.


I found out I don't have a fan shroud and I need to know where to get one or make one on my own if I have to so please help me.

 

Try national parts depot, they might have a replacement. classic industries might also.

 

I have been looking locally to find one and no luck so far, but in the mean time to save myself future trouble I just made a ghetto rigged one out of chicken wire and some thick linoleum, and it's working somewhat I guess lol.
