electrical problems

I have a 1991 Z-28 chevy camaro with a 305 5.0 Tpi in it. I am having problems with it and I am needing some trying to find out what is wrong with it. I can leave it sit for a couple of days and it will start up for about 10 to 15 minutes and then dies. Then, I tried to start it up again and it just dies. Someone is saying that it is the anti-theft system on the car and then someone is saying that it is the prom that goes to the computer. We have changed alot of things on the car and nothing has worked so far. I have changed the computer, fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, rotor, distributor cap, fuel pressure regulator, steering column, there might be other car parts that I put on the car, that I can't remember right off. The shop that I have it at right now is looking at and trying to figure out what it is. If I could get some suggetions on the problem I would greatly apprciate. Thanks, Steve

RE: electrical problems

You can most likely scratch the anti theft idea, unless you have an aftermarket unit installed. The factory VATS system will not allow the starter to engage and disables the injectors immediately, so the engine would never run.

I agree with Pete. More time than I can remember I have seen alarms go bad and cause an issue like yours.
