Default Cooling fan issue

Hello, I have a 92 RS with a 305. The cooling fan motor recently went out due to bearing failure. I replaced it with an aftermarket one from Oreilly Auto Parts. It worked for a minute and then stopped for good. I checked everything only to find that when putting 12 volts direct to the motor it did not work. So I replaced that one under warranty and installed another one only to have the same problem! What would cause the motors to burn out like that? I am really frustrated! It is obviously something with the wiring but I can find a short anywhere.

Have you tested the amps? If they are to high it could fry the motors.
