If yours originaly does not have AC then the best thing might be to go to a wrecker. If its one where they pull the parts for you some times they know of everything you need. You would want to flush the parts, replace the dryer and orffice tube and if funds allow use a new compressor.
Then for around $24 for one year you can get an online subscription to alldata or chiltons online service manuals. Or ask here and people can give help.

what about a/c kits? www.vintageair.comhas a universal kit, not sure if it will work
Parting a/c off another car is SO MUCH work... from what I hear.

If vintage air makes one to fit in the car then maybe it will work fine for you. If you use thier universal fit then I bet that would be harder to do than pulling one out of a car at the wrecker and installing it in yours. At least if you do the used one you can figure out how to put it in your car while you are tearing up another car. Its not SO MUCH work. It is only like doing two of them..
